After graduation, Nicole spent years training OTTBs for new careers and many of these horses have gone on to great success including CCI** and AO hunters. She has more recently expanded her training by working with natural horsemanship trainers to establish skill and finesse in ground work, an important component to the success of any rider. She has gained a reputation for helping young horses establish a solid, confident and respectful foundation to set them up for success under saddle. While she enjoys riding, equine nutrition and animal husbandry are her greatest passions, which make running Mill Creek Equestrian a perfect fit! She started Mill Creek Equestrian several years ago while based at her parent's farm in Springfield, OH. Purchasing MCE's new facility in 2014 saw the realization of her dream to own and operate a first-class equine operation. A dream made possible through the exceptional support of her family.
A life long horse enthusiast, Nicole got her first pony more than 25 years ago and has been caring for horses each day since. She graduated from The University of Findlay in 2007 with Bachelor's degrees in Equine Business Management and Equine Studies - Hunter/Jumper Emphasis. After graduation she spent some time working for the prestigious equine event production company, Equine Affaire, assisting with the marketing and educational program departments. She then headed to Wright State University to fulfill Bachelor's degrees in Accounting and Finance. In addition to running Mill Creek Equestrian, Nicole also serves as the Business Director and Quality Manager at her family's precision aerospace manufacturing business, Taylor Manufacturing Company.
